Notice to Food Vendors
If you plan on selling food at the Othello Cultural Exchange, you should be aware of the following:
– Vendors selling fresh fruits and vegetables or prepackaged foods available on the open market only need a valid Washington State Business License
– Vendors selling prepackaged foods prepared in a commercial kitchen need a valid Washington State Business License, the proper County Health Permit for the commercial kitchen where the items were produced/packaged, and proof of Product Liability Insurance with El Mercado, PC, listed as additionally insured.
– Vendors selling and “sampling” any of the aforementioned products are also required to apply for a King County “Limited” Temporary Food Service Permit [6220 (P/E)] and pay the $50 fee for the entire season.
– Vendors selling products prepared on the premises need a valid Washington State Business License, proof of Product Liability Insurance with El Mercado, PC, listed as additionally insured, and are required to apply for a King County Temporary Food Service Permit [6210 (P/E)] and pay the $255 fee for the entire season.
